Seton CYO provides a Travel League for our 3rd thru 8th grade boys and girls from mid-October through mid-February. Teams will play inter-league games against parishes across Westchester and Putnam Counties. By design, our program allows players the opportunity to improve themselves through practice and competitive game exposure. There is a focus on development and sportsmanship. Success should not be based solely on winning or losing, but should be understood in terms of participation, enjoyment and self-confidence.
Seton teams practice weekday evenings (and occassionally on a weekend afternoon), generally once a week and league games are played against other parishes on the weekends. The 12 game season schedule is created by the Westchester/Putnam County CYO Director. League games start in mid-November and end in mid-February. There will usually be one game per weekend. League playoffs are held upon the conclusion of the regular season in mid-to-late February. The practice and game schedule will be available two weeks before season start.
Minimum playing time is one quarter. Seton CYO aims for fair playing time for each player and we rely on the judgment of our coaches. Player attendance and active participation in practices are requirements for participation in games.
